I used to drink sodas. My favorite is Dr. Pepper. Switched to Diet Dr. Pepper or Dr. Pepper 10, for losing weight purposes. I do drink water too, but not as enough as I should.
Well, I when started coughing, and as usual, I’d go for my Diet Dr. Pepper or Dr. Pepper 10, because I love how the “fizz” feels down my throat!
That all changed one day, when I was coughing so hard that I threw up. I went for my soda, as usual. To my surprise, it did not make my throat feel any better! I was really repulsed by the soda, strangely enough. So I got some water… AHHHHH! So much better!
It, of course, did not cure me of my coughing right away, because I had reflux (see previous post), but it did help my body feel better. So I started drinking more water and decaf sweet tea instead of soda!
I have had relapses, but not by choice. Thankfully, I've tried to keep it to a minimum, and still remain on a soda free streak! For the first time in years, I have not had cravings for soda, and I’m ok with that!
I think we have also saved some money by not buying soda anymore! Whoop!!!
